The one i seen in Wigan has branding all over for the Morris Dancing club so definitely not with a travel company. Also it has been altered inside with curtains etc. And yes we are talking the Cross River one mate.

Just saw my namesake in Warrington bus station, it just started to reverse out as I got off the 6, thought id had my last ride on a palatine, but if I can track it down later, than maybe not.

Looks like 3283 (N283 CKB) ISN'T going to be the Artbus after all!

Arriva seem to have chosen a DAF!Sad

Best plan might be to contact someone from down that neck of the woods (Someone who maybe took the picture of it in Derby depot) and see if it's still knocking about there. If not, may have been sold on, or worst case scenario, scrapped!

RE: Ex Arriva NW Palatine II's
Not sure if its been scrapped (yet), as it's still listed as being off the road.

DVLA Vehicle Enquiry;
(N283 CKB) NEW 15-12-1995, SORN 01-12-2012, 9600ccDIESEL, BLUE, £500 PER YEAR.

Interestingly, both 0283 and 0276 were/are the only Wirral Palatines to be delivered at the end of 1995 (all the rest were new in '96).

I reckon Arriva chose a DAF as its a low-floor model and it can run around in service in the winning design.
Incidentally, the Arriva Artbus page STILL EXISTS, despite the design competition ending on Saturday 31st March!
