Stagecoach MCSL - Gillmoss Depot
RE: Stagecoach MCSL - Gillmoss Depot
There is a Bootle driver on here that has explained it with the Mmcs. Think he said that the Mmcs lose time due to to something to do with door. That they are kept to 62/63 because of it as lost time is easier to make up. I'm sure he will explain it again.

Bootle's were initially causing problems on the 55 because of the delay in waiting for the doors to shut fully before being able to pull away, so they didn't last long on there. In saying that, they took a bit of getting used to when they were new, so that also contributed to the delays - but ideally it's a problem that we could do without, especially when trying to keep to our tight schedules... If the 16 plates at Gillmoss don't have that (annoying!) feature, maybe that's why they're keeping an eye on the new ones.
Without wanting to going too much off topic, Bootle's seem to be on the 62 more than anything on weekdays as that route gets the most running/layover time. On weekends, they seem to be spread out on the 52s/55/56/58/58A/62/63 from what I see of them.

I wasn't that far off the mark then, thanks.

As drivers at Warringtons Own Buses, we are having the same debate about our Enviro MMC’s. To open the doors, the handbrake needs to be on. Before you can pull away, the doors need to be fully closed. Our buses are geared to Super Eco mode which means they change up to quickly. Interesting to see that Stagecoach drivers are having similar frustrations with these buses...

10818 was also on X5 today

11105 on rail replacements along with 10825 (I think!) - 11103 and 11110 were on the rails yesterday - 11103 then went on to do a 917 too!

Stagecoach have just posted this Tweet:

#Kirkby. Due to incidents of vandalism to our buses we are no longer going to serve Broadlane for the remainder of the evening. Authorities have been informed and we send apologies to our customers. @Merseytravel @MerseyPolice

Aye I was thinking that or possibly for the 204?
