It's a great read and good to see BTS doing well. Being from Manchester it's mainly operations here that I've followed but I've always had a massive soft spot and interest in BTS mainly due to visits to Blackpool in the mid 90's during the takeover of Flyde Blue buses. Always came across as a great company. It's gone a little stale of late (from an enthusiasts point of view) with all the modernisation (both tram and bus), but it's good to see them still doing well with continued investment.

I just wonder whether when you compare them to other municipals like Halton and Rossendale, both have swung sharply to buying second hand Buses whereas BTS seems to prefer buying new now after the 2015 citaros so can there success be purely down to the booming tourist trade?

I think I have read elsewhere that the Blackpool South rail replacements will be run by another operator with BTS solely responsible for the Blackpool North replacements.
