I think you mean L220 TKA, North East 1002. The Stockton based ones do seem to get everywhere, one reported instance of one reaching Amble from Stockton on Training duties.

Interesting, it looks like there maybe a few services operating from different depots to now - the 53/53a not serving Blyth and being operated from there might be a bit hard to change drivers, likewise the 57 looks likely to move to Ashington depot considering it won't run to North Shields during the day (at current interworks with the 56 there and worked from Jesmond).

RE: Arriva North East
So, my rollcall of Arriva North East buses was as follows:

Volvo Olympian-NC II 7412 (route X21)
DAF-ALX400 7460 (45)
Enviro 400s 7507 (501) and 7510 (518)
Gemini Integral 7621 (308)
DAF-Prestiges 4001 (X2), 4072 (7a)
Volvo B10BLE-ALX300 4516 (306)
Scania OmniCities 4645, 4647, 4656 (all X2)
Pulsar 2s 1466 (22), 1480 (35)
Dart SLF-Pointer 1765 (2) and 1302 (75/ 76)
Solo 2868 (10)

Perhaps the most interesting OmniCity was 4645, as it had been refurbished. I have the feeling it is ex-Merseyside. An inspector at Haymarket Bus Station did warn me that several changes were due on September 16th. Some of these are already highlighted here.

Indeed, 4643-5 are the ex-North West trio, 4643/5 have been refurbished while 4644 hasn't.
Your trip on 4001 on the X2 is one you should be glad you made, Stockton will no longer be operating the X2 from the 16th September as that becomes a Durham-only route seperate to the X1.

I did ride one of the OmniCities in Liverpool on 23.9.06 but am not sure if it was the same one. Riding 4001 on Wednesday had the advantage that I was able to shun an ex-Go North East Prestige at Blyth for my journey back to Newcastle the following day, and delight in the Gemini Integral instead. This vindicated my decision to do the Co Durham trips before Northumberland.

I forgot I also rode Solo 2821 (route 32) and coach 1202 (685).

4645 is former North West 2063. That would last Wednesday (25th July), as 4001 was on 21a/31a this Wednesday (and due to chaos that was Stockton, was 15 minutes late most of the day).

Because that is a Northumberland County Council document, the 56 only operates in Tyne & Wear so won't be included.
