RE: Stagecoach Manchester and Wigan
Someone's put up unofficial notices at Wilmslow Bank Square saying about the 378 withdrawal, which claims the reason for Stagecoach withdrawing that section is because most of the passengers are ENCTS holders and Stagecoach doesn't consider Cheshire East council's reimbursement enough to continue running services to Wilmslow. |

RE: Stagecoach Manchester and Wigan
Some passengers keep on trying it on with weekly cards, claim either it or the ticket machine doesn't work and flashes a receipt saying they bought it, when the driver tells them it isn't topped up they start shouting and making a scene to get the driver to wave them on. 3 times this month I've seen it tried. |

I wouldn't take what the M.E.N. has to say too literally - the V3 is their primary example of a service being "axed", despite the fact that the Leigh - MRI route is actually being increased - just with a different number. Local newspapers often try to sensationalise this sort of thing, preferring to incense than to inform. |

Charlotte Cox is the MEN journalist who wrote that TPE would be getting cascaded trains instead of new. She claimed it was mentioned in a presentation she was at but other journalists at the presentation said she was daydreaming and missed the key points. |
