I assume you mean 51/02 Reg Solos? as they are the oldest Buses that can get under the bridge

Regularly. Hard suspension and harder seats. Better when there's pioneer darts on which also happens fairly often

Normally in pretty bad shape when first allocated to the route. The road bumps don't help from there on

RE: First Manchester
The 56 reg darts have bad seats on them and the suspension suffers worse than the Solos. Personally I prefer the comfier, faster Solos on the route. Bring back the Crusader Darts though!

Also I believe they are very expensive to operate both in terms of fuel & the fact they need two staff. I personally can't see them coming to Manchester in view of the current cost cutting exercise, but you never know!!!

There were certainly a fair number of them parked up at the Bradford depot in very late November 2016 that looked like they were stored. Parked up in the yard, closest to the main road, Bowling Black Lane.

Spotted Queens Rd B9 37374 heading into Bolton depot on Wednesday night about 7.30. Presuming it's for MOT rather than service.
