Google Maps
Has anyone tried using Google Maps recently? It seems an ill-thought redesign has been foisted on all UK users now, and it is appallingly slow and clunky. There is a 'lite' version but even this is a pain to use. My laptop is to a decent spec and it handled the old design (and Google Earth) without issue. I see the isometric overhead views, which had only recently been extended to cover most of north Liverpool, have also been lost.

It's amazing really - I thought the Flickr redesign was bad, but this one is on a whole new level. A redesign that's slower, harder to use and has fewer features than its predecessor? Ludicrous.

RE: Google Maps
I hate the new Google Maps. Since they first introduced it, I've always returned to the classic version (after giving it a chance, of course) when it's put me on the new one as I've found it to be too slow with a cluttered appearance and just generally too much for what it is. The classic version had a great layout, usually ran quite fast and fitted its purpose well better than the new one, in my opinion. Another case of trying to make something modern for the sake of it/fixing something that wasn't broken (cough*Flickr*cough)...
