Traveline North West website
Anybody who has used the Traveline North West website for journey planning or searching for current and future timetables will be disappointed to hear that the website is now no longer available. All regions of the North West are now being re-directed to the main Traveline website, with the exception of Greater Manchester, which is re-directed to the My TfGM website (also available as an app). http://traveline-northwest.co.uk/ http://www.traveline.info/ https://my.tfgm.com/ |

Merseyside also goes to Merseytravel's website - the Traveline NW website was pretty awful anyway, the national one is much better |

The national one only gives you times for the next 7 days unless you use the Journey Planner. |

RE: Traveline North West website
This is something I knew was coming around six months ago, having heard about it via one of the other regions. The signs were evident if you knew where to see them, such as TfGM's timetables featuring an 0161 number instead of the main Traveline number. Thing is, each region is individually run and managed, and if a the partnership decides to end, then the site will close. It just so happens that the contract for the North West has just ended, and they clearly decided not to renew and carry on. There is nothing stopping an authority using the services of another region, technically that is already the case with one southern authority and this regional team is more than happy to look after data for any authority in the country. There is the national portal, but that is dependent on data being sent from the authorities or Traveline regions. There is also a delay, which means the national portal is around 1-2 weeks behind. |
