RE: Liverpool City Region Bus Franchising
The evening/Sunday 141 used to cover the 35 route until it was rerouted the same as the daytime service.

Another thing that’s got me wondering what would happen to routes like the 133 & 167 that are currently by Hattons after St Helens starts next September? Would a different operator run it until that area starts?

Hatton’s will operate the services for the length of their contract. After which a new bidding process will be announced whereby operators can bid to run the contract until the end date (which would likely be the start of Liverpool franchising).

Even if Hatton’s are unsuccessful with the St Helens area contracts, they’re not selling the depot so would still have a base for their other commercial services, private hires, touring business and external contracts

There is no difference between the start of area franchising and the current merseytravel contract system in terms of routes passing to operators.
