I've just had this sad news through from a very reliable source. The staff have been given redundancy notices with a closure date of some time in June. I myself have bought countless items from there over the years but I guess it's a sign of the times with more people getting the items online.

Apologies for putting this in a separate thread to Businesses Gone Bust but I felt I needed to bring this to the attention of members who possibly wouldn't have looked at the other thread.

It is a very big shock to say the least.

The way books are sold these days is to purchase them online , but the start of the rot was the end of the Net Book Agreement a while back.

It is a good shop for transport books. I have gone there 2 or 3 times a year. In February I bought 2 books to guide me on my forthcoming holiday in Ireland.
