RE: Halton Transport - St Helens Rider - 02/09/2013 11:10 Solo this morning on 17A journey that leaves St Helsn around 8.10 - didn't manage to id it though. RE: Halton Transport - WidnesRuncornBus - 02/09/2013 18:12 It was 57 I belive, seen it heading towards st helens on albert road. RE: Halton Transport - WidnesRuncornBus - 04/09/2013 14:17 Right then! A few things now, just wanted to note that 73 was out on the 62a yesterday and is on the 17 today. Its nice to see these older Marshall Capitals being used, they did appear withdrawn at the end of July however it looks like 73 is back in use. 71, 72, and 74 dont appear to be getting used sadly. Ok my second object is that 32 and 31 have now been fitted with LED destination blinds (so now 30, 31, 32, 33) all have LEDs. And my last object is The mini Marshall (20), just wanted to point out it is sounding rather unhealthy. I was on it today and it seems to be strugling a bit as well as a really bad rattle coming from the engine. Let me know what you think on 20. I would imagine that #73 and #74 if they do see service will be mostly used on morning school/college services, and their usual haunts of the 62A, 17/17A and the 2. RE: Halton Transport - WidnesRuncornBus - 04/09/2013 17:33 When was the last time anyone has seen 71 or 72 being used. I'd love to ride them again. IICR #72 was around May. #71 was a bus which saw very limited use due to it's tendency to breakdown and it was often quite dangerously slow, as the gearbox would frequently stick into first and second gear a lot. This was a lot earlier around March-ish. I think I managed to catch this bus 4 times on route 44 compared to 20ish of #75 RE: Halton Transport - Quackdave - 04/09/2013 18:43 (04/09/2013 14:17)WidnesRuncornBus Wrote: 71, 72, and 74 dont appear to be getting used sadly.74 has been in Liverpool this week - I think it was yesterday, and on the 14, though not 100% sure on either of those things! 71 and 72 are delicensed and both have a SORN expiry date of 01/04/2014, which would suggest they were last used during April at the latest, since I'm fairly certain that SORNs always have a duration of 12 calendar months. RE: Halton Transport - CX06 EBK - 04/09/2013 18:52 A SORN does last 12 months you're right and there was a 10.7m Dart on the 14 yesterday. RE: Halton Transport - WidnesRuncornBus - 05/09/2013 16:43 Shame, no chance of riding them again I surpose. |
