RE: Rail Replacement - Bike Bus - 60008 - 29/12/2016 23:30 spotted the bike bus in Laird St this afternoon so went over for a nosey. looked to be 8 pairs of bike wheel holders with the rear seats left in. it will be interesting to see how it goes when the rails are off RE: Rail Replacement - Bike Bus - T42 PVM - 29/12/2016 23:33 I plan on using it with my bike so am looking forward to it myself RE: Rail Replacement - Bike Bus - LT10 - 02/01/2017 22:17 Spare capacity is currently at next to nothing in the fleet at the moment, regardless of new deliveries and loan buses, this shown by the fact there is the bare minimum of vehicles in the Engine shop and Bodyshop, with only absolutely necessary being carried out there at the moment. Then also considering depots are having their own vehicles taken away as well as any loans to help cover this, as said above, chosing a perfectly good DDA bus is out of the question. Take into consideration the fact 8214 (correct me if I'm wrong) has recently had major engine work carried out, why not make use of it. |
