Know things are pretty messed up with budget cuts and numbers but are Cheshire Police doing any kind of Trojan operations with Arriva and Halton to try and catch them in the act and have there been any other incidents in other area's of Runcorn? Easy for people to have a go at the police but it's not them smashing the buses etc. for some pondlife thrill. Not sure about other areas in Runcorn, but I am aware the past couple of years in Kirkby on mischief night, Stagecoach have stopped buses going into the Tower Hill and Northwood areas due to Vandalism RE: Halton Transport - Gillmoss 0324 - 16/10/2019 09:35 Yeah know about the Kirkby (and other area's) issues but they tend to be more Mischief Night and generally less regular than what's been going on in Runcorn recently. I think sadly they've cottoned on the buses can't divert off the Busway and have become an easy target for them. As I said before sadly Runcorn isn't the only place this happens, in fact it goes on in some least expected and sometimes prosperous parts of the country too. The depot is just far enough away from any other stagecoach operation in Chester , Liverpool and Manchester to not be called in by the CMA. Only when Arriva have sorted out whats happening will i deem Halton's work anything like secure. |
