Notices have been up on Laird Street buses

More bad news for Cheshire passengers who don't benefit from a lower priced local day ticket, unlike Greater Manchester and Merseyside.
I had a feeling it was going to happen this year - but considering the high amount of investment in the fleet over the past few years (which has seen a lot of depots have other fleets heavily updated) I do think a small price rise is perfectly reasonable. Having just the North West and Wales day ticket instead of having that and a standard North West day ticket is a good idea though - as is the Wirral Plus being replaced by a Merseyside ticket which gives Wirral based bus users more freedom to travel around Liverpool on the same ticket

Unfortunately in their infinite wisdom arriva scrapped the macc area day savers which is annoying as a load of people bought them & £5.50 is a bit of s rip-off if your only travelling around town.

North West & Wales Day ticket increases from £5.50 to £5.80 but new North West only day ticket will be sold which will cost £5.50, meaning only those who currently travel across the Welsh border will have to pay the 30p extra.
Oh dear, not good news for people travelling into Wales.
I never once managed to get a driver to give me the North West and Wales day ticket in the past when there used to be a separate, slightly cheaper North West ticket, as they either can't find it on their machine or absolutely refuse to believe someone would travel to Wales for the day on a bus and think they're being helpful by giving you the cheaper one. Always ended up having to pay twice for the separate day tickets.
