The Ivecos may not have been released after all, as RE23CUV has reappeared on the 391/392/393 again.
Half of 391/392 services cancelled today 'due to driver sickness'. The same thing happened last Saturday.
Looks like both of the Ivecos are for sale with Oddyssey Bus Sales. Wonder what is happening?
Oddyssey Bus Sales
Perhaps their motto should be "You thought we'd got rid of this vehicle, but you were wrong"

Reduced timetable from 25 Feb on 391/392/393 due to 'passenger numbers not recovering following COVID'

New timetable seems to eliminate the need for a third driver on the route to cover driver breaks.

Surely, that should be 'Due to CEC's abject failure in promoting the service after Covid, we will be reducing the service even more.'

The council, past operator and current operator could all have done more about promoting the £2 fare cap.

At one point Little Gem offered mobile tickets below the £2 fare cap and yet unless you went on to their website or downloaded their app, you wouldn't have known.

An Anytime Return for Poynton to Stockport by train is £7.10. At one point there were complaints about passengers being unable to board a morning peak stopper between Macclesfield and Manchester due to it being too full.

Despite the bus having a lower frequency and not extending to Manchester, it isn't exactly hard to market the 391/392.
If their tracking is accurate they've been using their 2 Mercedes-Benz Sprinters a lot on the Macclesfield-Stockport services over the past week. Seems a strange decision to sell the Ivecos with destination displays in hindsight.

They do seem to work on the basis of having a very large fleet, in relation to the size of their work, and being slow to return vehicles to service after they develop faults/need servicing.

The Ivecos were sold because the parts are extremely hard to come by, and then when you do find them, they're rather costly. That's why a rather stylish looking minibus has not really seen that many orders yet.

They were using Sprinters because they unexpectedly lost an Enviro200 and an SR at the same time from what I was told.
According to bustimes two brand new MMCs are being used on the 391 today. SK24 CUA and SK24 CTY.
