In the next couple of months.
As expected, most of the towns will lose their HMV, only the big stores in the cities seem to have survived.
More empty shops on the high street then.

Looks like the one in Bolton has survived.
Bolton has a reasonable sized Town Centre , but the administrators have probably looked at turnover .

Birkenhead is seriously getting to look like a ghost town , at this rate there will only be Asda , Primark , M&S , WHSmith , TJ Hughes and House of Fraser of any particular note left. They seem to be scattered around the town centre as well .
im surprised the Bradford HMV Survived - its not very busy but i guess its small, out of the way but near a main transport hub (Market street/hall ings) so i guess the rents cheap.Kirkless councill wont be happy about huddersfield one closing as theyve just done a big campiain for kingsgate cnt what featured HMV As one of the main stores!
Sadly Rapid Hardware has also had Administrators called in, yet more possible losses of jobs if an investor isn't found.

Southport's HMV is another outside the big cities to have escaped. Not surprisingly, it always seems well used when I go past it.
