First in Leeds have come up with an alternative proposal to the NGT trolleybus scheme that Metro are looking to implement, which is 'The New Bus for Leeds', which is similar to the New Bus for London

Streetcars 19012 and 19014 have been stored at Smiles, Brunswick, Newcastle upon Tyne for over a year awaiting some kind of re-power work. I first noted them there on 22 June 2013!

19012 has finally been moved from the spot where it had been parked up for the last year so it looks like work may be about to start on it. 19014 is still rooted to the spot however.
New buses have been introduced to routes in West Yorkshire in recent months. First WY have followed First Manchester in bringing in Enviro400s and Streetlites with the Enviro400s operating in Leeds on (predominately) the 49 route since September, while the Streetlites have just been introduced on various services in Huddersfield.

Meanwhile, the New Bus for West Yorkshire (similar on New Bus for London) has been on show across West Yorkshire, as First propose bringing these vehicles into the region in the next few years. The move is First's response to the New Generation Transport proposal in Leeds by Metro.

I understand the Streetlites at Huddersfield will be shorter ones in the 47000 series, as per Pioneer at Dukinfield for Ashton-area routes.

The NBfWY would be distinctive and creative. If they do come to West Yorkshire I hope they will have First rather than TfL interiors.

Found this photo on Flickr of the top deck and it doesn't look attractive:

Although distinctive, I am not so keen on them, but at least with First interiors they could look a bit better. In London I am more interested in cascades resulting from LT introductions than rides on any of them!
First West Yorkshire's Bradford depot will be going on strike on Monday and Tuesday (27 and 28 April). The dispute is down to First transferring some runnings of the 576 from Bradford to Haifax depot, following the loss of contracted services in Calderdale to Yorkshire Tiger in January.

The majority of services will not operate in the Bradford on those days, although First have said there will be a limited service on some corridors into the city centre and £1 flat fares.

Services 72, 508, 571, 576 and X63 plus some journeys on the 611 will operate as normal, as will all but one journey on the 363. It's believe that Halifax depot will run all journeys on the 576 on those days.

I have not looked up such registrations. However, someone on the West Yorkshire Bus Forum might post details there.
