Wow indeed! As Paul's blog post suggests the third batch of Enviro400s (436-450) are most likely going to be replacing the ex Isle of Man DAFs (a shame really as these have always been decent buses but they are between 15 and 16 years old now) at the end of the upcoming full closure of the Blackpool North branch line between October this year and April next year. I'll definitely be taking a trip up there for what will certainly be a high quality rail replacement service
I wonder if Blackpool Transport will be ordering any more Citaros at some point or if they're considering another type for renewing the single deck fleet? The Citaros are certainly very nice but somehow I think the idea of a current generation Enviro200 in Palladium livery seems rather appealing. I suppose time will tell though

I spoke to an enthusiast with links to BTS from up there not to long ago and he said that it's likely that shorter Enviro200 MMC will likely end up replacing older solos eventually. No mention of SRs or more Citaros though.
Enviro200 demonstrator YX17 NXA is currently here

Looks very smart inside and out, very similar plate to one of the Townlynx MMCs too... But what exactly is "Smart Pack"?

Very nice! I really hope they order some of these! Does anyone know when/if the tridents will be painted into the new livery?

It is unlikely any buses will be painted in the new livery. 20 more Enviros are due in October to cover the rail replacement contract then in the spring they will replace more Tridents and DAFs. The objective is to have no Bus older than five years by 2020.
