On 13 January LSL ran a rail tour "Ayr Extension" from Crewe to Barrasie Junction using locomotives 86101 tnt 87002.
The tour was originally planned to Ayr but was prevented going past Barrassie by the Ayr Station hotel fire.

Steam locomotive 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley made two test runs from Crewe to Chester on Monday.

Deltic 55022 is to be fitted with ETCS.

Steam locomotives 70000 Brittania and LNER A4 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley which are both based at LSL Crewe are to appear at the East Lancs Railway gala on 15 to 17 March.

Steam locomotive 60532 Blue Peter has been moved from Crewe to the Severn Valley Railway for testing.
