New Coastliner timetable will come into effect next weekend (25 May). There had been some controversy about the original plans, which was to run the 840 as an express from Thornton-le-Dale to Whitby (missing out Goathland, Sleights and Ruswarp) and the 843 as an express from Rillington to Scarborough (missing out Staxton and Seamer), after plans by North Yorkshire County Council had planned to cut the reimbursement levels for concessionary travel.
But after discussions with NYCC, those plans have been dropped and the villages in North Yorkshire will have a normal service.

I've read elsewhere that it will be one fully electric single decker, so I wonder which route it will be on, that will be short enough and close enough to the depot for a recharge, the UB1 perhaps?
Meanwhile, First York are gaining 6 fully electric single deckers whilst York city council are getting two of the same
We saw Lancashire United 212 in Chorley Interchange yesterday on the #124 service. Not being local to Chorley, Is this the usual power for this service...?
Thanks in advance.
York unibus has tweeted that they will be using an electric bus on the UB1 service on Monday.
I rode Transdev in Harrogate 278, 306, 307, 1086, 1704, 2709, 3607 and 3612 last Saturday. Significantly, ex-route X43 President 2709 was refurbished with red seating. The examples at Keighley have conversely got blue seating.
A Unilink branded President was on the 843 service today between York and Leeds. Did a journey to Whitby too! Makes it more intersting as one of the Coastliner single deckers was on the Unilink!

In a way it might be good to have Transdev Lancashire in the North West local section. I have seen pix of the new Volvo B9TLs for route X43 on Flickr so hopefully they will be in service in the next 3 weeks or so. They are in a silver and black livery but have no Witch Way logos yet.
