You still need to get the buses to and from the depot in the first place.
Two new City Zap registrations have been made on a Burnley & Pendle operating licence:

PC0005249/154 Registered
BURNLEY & PENDLE TRAVEL LTD
Route: MANCHESTER CHORLTON STREET to HUDDERSFIELD AINLEY TOP
Service number: CITY ZAP
Service type: Limited Stop
Effective date: 05 Nov 2017

PC0005249/155 Registered
BURNLEY & PENDLE TRAVEL LTD
Route: Huddersfield, Ainley Top to Leeds Bus Station
Service number: City Zap
Service type: Limited Stop
Effective date: 05 Nov 2017

I imagine this is set to be a through service which is registered as two separate services, leaving the M62 to pick up and set down at Ainley Top.
Some route and timetable details about Transdev's second CityZap service, which will run between Manchester and Leeds from 5 November can be found

Timing points listed are:
  • Manchester Chorlton Street (stand EZ)
  • Manchester Piccadilly Gardens (stand R to Leeds, stand S to Manchester)
  • Chadderton (Broadway/Middleton Road)
  • Mount (Lindley Moor Road/Moorlands Road)
  • Ainley Top (Lindley Moor Road/Cedar Court Hotel towards Manchester and Lindley Moor Road/Warren Farm towards Leeds)
  • Leeds Corn Exchange (towards Leeds only)
  • Leeds City bus station (stand 21)

The timetable suggests the service will run along the A643 between junctions 24 and 23 of the M62. This will probably be to get around restrictions of route length. The service will also mirror National Express' 060 service, including the stopping at Broadway/Middleton Road in Chadderton.

Service will run at following times:

Leeds to Manchester Journey time is 1 hour 15 mins (average):
  • Weekdays: 0630, 0700, 0815, 0930 and every hour until 1830
  • Saturdays: 0830 and every hour until 1830
  • Sundays: 0930 and every hour until 1730

Manchester to Leeds Journey time is 1 hour 20 mins (average).:
  • Weekdays: 0600, 0700, 0800, 0900, 1015 and every hour until 1815 (plus 0550 and 0620 from Mount to Leeds)
  • Saturdays: 0815 and every hour until 1815 (plus 0745 from Mount to Leeds)
  • Sundays: 0915 and every hour until 1715 (plus 0845 from Mount to Leeds)

The timetable allows 30 minutes waiting time in Manchester and 55 minutes at Leeds to cover late running.

Transdev have posted the timetable for the new CityZap route between Leeds and Manchester on the CityZap Twitter page. Looks like single deckers will be used, going off the image on the timetable.

Transdev are merging the various apps they have got (Lancashire Bus, Yorkshire Bus, 36, Witch Way, CityZap) into one new app called Transdev Go, which will include all the m-tickets in Lancashire and Yorkshire plus DayTripper. The app will include live times. The old apps will go out of use at the end of October with the new one launching around the same time.

From Transdev:

Transdev Go replaces all of our old mobile apps with one simple, super-powerful piece of software in your pocket. Once Transdev Go launches, you'll very quickly find that you won't need our Lancashire Bus, Yorkshire Bus, 36, Witchway or Cityzap apps, so these will be taken offline over the coming weeks.

What will happen to the Lancashire Bus and Yorkshire Bus mobile apps?
Our old mobile apps will be taken offline on Tuesday 31 October. You'll have a few days afterwards within which to use your ticket, but after that, these apps will no longer function.

What if I have tickets in the old apps?
If you're using our old Lancashire Bus or Yorkshire Bus M-Ticket apps, your tickets will automatically be transferred over to Transdev Go! Simply download Transdev Go, sign up for an account inside the app using the same email address as you did with our old apps, and your tickets will be waiting for you.

If you've bought a ticket on the old app and don't download Transdev Go, you'll have a maximum of 5 days to use your ticket (or 15 app opens, whichever comes first).

Don't worry, all of your tickets will be ready and waiting for you in the Transdev Go app.

What type of tickets can I buy with Transdev Go?
You'll be able to buy all of the tickets you bought with our old apps. We'll be adding even more types of ticket in the future, so make sure you download Transdev Go and watch this space!

Transdev Go will be available on the App Store and Google Play very shortly. We'll post the links here when it's available.

Fare prices have been confirmed by Transdev for the CityZap route between Manchester and Leeds with a single fare costing £6 and a return £9. DayTripper plus the Gold Week tickets are valid meaning a weekly ticket between Leeds and Manchester will cost £34.

Also, to launch the service, for the first week of service, single fares will be reduced to £1.

I too read that fares were going to be reduced to £1 for its first week but can't see anything about the fare reduction on the link.
