221101 now all over white livery with Avanti logo between cab and passenger doors.
Timetable for next week now on their website. It would appear the service in RTT is correct and there is only one Holyhead-Euston each way and thus only the two hourly TfW service between Crewe and Chester.
Avanti are saying travel may be refused to those without seat reservations to maintain social distancing on board.

I wonder what will happen to someone with a ticket involving multiple legs, where one leg is delayed and they miss the train with their reserved seat? I also wonder if they've considered how Delay Repay will work if that happens.

I have seen that LNER are going to introduce mandatory seat reservations too.

Avanti ought then to allow us to check seat availability and book a seat subject to availability even after booking a flexible ticket. Alternatively they should shelve flexible tickets in favour of just Advance tickets, but this would mean withdrawing useful or essential flexibility for people.

Avanti not having inherited the Virgin facility of letting us choose our seats could mean being forced to for example sit in a rear facing rather than a front facing seat.

With any luck this will only be until the 3rd phase of the lockdown lifting, provisionally due July 4th.
Does anybody know what the reality is on a Pendolino ?.
AFAIK Coach C seating is completely out of use, but that's it.
Or do other coaches have partial out of use seating to aid social distancing ?.
How do they control mid journey boarding/alighting to aid SD i.e Crewe - Wilmslow - Manchester ?
Thx
I just tried a dummy booking on the Avanti website and it seems they are offering you a space on a train opposed to a specific seat, regardless of whether you select the Advance ticket option, or the standard walk on fares and regardless of whether you specify any preferences like being in the quiet coach.

Its an easier way of controlling bookings , once the quota is used up no further bookings wil then be able to be taken for the service.

TPX used this system of counted place when they was tranitioning between 185 , 350/4 and there nova products .

That's much more helpful than having a designated seat. Everyone would still have a good area to themselves, but can choose whether left or right, forward or rear-facing.
