They're going down to the Olympics (as has been said God knows how many times) so there's no point in them entering service up here, only to be taken out of service weeks later to go to London. And as CX54 said, they're likely to need PDI's etc before going down.

The Hybrids aren't due until next year for Birkenhead at least AFAIK
January 2013 they're due, along with the Man EcoCity's for Runcorn. It is at that point, when the "Merry-Go-Round" of buses begins, and a lot of Dart's are withdrawn.

Regarding why PDIs may take place at Manchester - it's effectively an empty yard with few other buses needing anything done so they can spare the time and resources to get PDIs etc complete. These won't have taken place whilst at Heysham so will take place here before they depart for the Olympics. If they went to LS for the same treatment, it may take much longer as they have their own full fleet to tend to.

they still want the information to get out but on a quiet scale, think would you like to know whats going on or not at all?

I know i asked a similar question but i stopped looking at the Forum for a couple of months & missed the news, as i was getting fed up with some of the waffle rather than fact on the main section.

I don't think that it's to "boost his post-count" - that doesn't even exist on this forum anymore! He just doesn't read what's posted and asks for information that we don't have! He does it right across the board. When he's told something, he ignores it, or doesn't pay any attention to it, and asks again and again! It's irritating.
