So hopefully this will give some what mroe indication, on whats going on.
i thought they would go to winsford, To replace the 4 Marshalls Weve lost

Think more like Bangor will get them ratehr than windsford... as its "classified as Cymru" not North West buses Big Grin But we shall see what happens
Not sure were to put this, but as the depot destination for some of the new pulsar 2's is unknown here seems a good place.

Travelling to my in-laws yesterday evening, I passed one of the new p2's heading southwards just after Lancaster. I think the fleet number was 312* (it could have been 8 or 9). So it looks like they are on there way from Heysham.
am informed they in manchester depot
Manchester/whythenshawe ain't due any are they?

3109 etc Birkenhead all going London

We don't know! As it stands, it isn't clear where any of the new Pulsar 2s are going yet, apart from Runcorn's 6, which'll be of a high-specification anyway (so easy to recognise).

Is that confirmed (that "3109 etc" are Birkenhead's)?
the pulsar 2's at manchester are there to be stored
No point in storing brand new buses
Clearly there is some point otherwise, it wouldn't be happening. There are PDI checks to be done, possibly CCTV to be fitted and this has done to be done to the whole batch before being sent down to London. A company like Arriva who does everything they can to cut costs does not store new buses for no reason.

They're going down to the Olympics (as has been said God knows how many times) so there's no point in them entering service up here, only to be taken out of service weeks later to go to London. And as CX54 said, they're likely to need PDI's etc before going down.
i would be shocked if they go work done a manchester with that depo being short on supplys thats why the pulsars was swapped for the commanders as thery dont need as much blue die thingy (information ex member of this site who does not want to be named)
