Hi all,
I have spent the past year looking for an 8.8m Dennis Dart with a pointer body but haven't been able to find one for the right price. This made me curious as to how much they are actually worth, any input would be appreciated. I would also like to know where the best place to purchase one would be (has to be within 60 miles of chester). Finally, what age can you learn to drive a bus and where should this be done?

Hi Folks,

I've been out for a mooch today & found an ex peter evans & son coach here in macclesfield.

It's a plaxton paramount is all I know, unsure of its reg or engine spec etc as it lives in an industrial compound & is parked right up against a wall so the reg number isn't visible. The yard itself is on gunco lane in macc.

This coach doesn't look in bad nick for now but hasn't moved in at least 8 years probably longer. I'm doubtful the owner has plans to restore it but you never know. If anybody else has pics of peter evans vehicles post them if you could.

Latest post from them on Facebook and they're after downsizing the collection off vehicles needing restoring, ideally for further preservation and they've said if not they'll go for scrap.

Hello folks,

Was wondering whatever happened to the former Birkenhead Atlantians and where they ended up before being scrapped (159 still seems to be in as acquired condition on the MTT site the last time I looked).

Saw some pictures on flickr of them across the water with modified destination equipment and single door conversions. Don't actually remember seeing them like that when they were on the 42/43s back as a little 'un. Rather liked the dual door ones.

Not quite preserved, but in use as a playbus in the Midlands. Took the opportunity on the way to a holiday in Devon to get some shots of the former MPTE 1599, in the hope it was in it's seemingly usual parking place on the A38 just outside Droitwich Spa. All taken on 24 May.

Bus Lists have it as new to Topping,Wavertree and then passing to PMT, becoming 62463. The other one was new to City LIne as 1607.

First Group didnt arrive until 1995.

F363 YTJ is now in the yard of Manheim Gloucester Auctions at Cam Green in Dursley, (Gloucestershire) ready for auction this Thursday.

Hi, i own an atlantean but was wondering why the bus was dropping gear between 3rd and 4th gear when the bus was initially moving and then after 20 mins driving, it was fine. We were told the sensors were fine and the gears were ok, any ideas and could it become a bigger problem? Thanks

Hi,

I couldn't find a thread regarding recently preserved Volvo Olympian/Palatine 2 3833 (S833 OFT), previously with Go North East. She was preserved recently by the County Durham Bus Preservation Group; her significance being she was the last step-entrance vehicle purchased in 1998.

About 3pm today I saw a Wright's-bodied B10M refuelling at Tescos in Litherland. It was some distance away from me but I am fairly sure that it was one of the ex-CMT ones. What intrigued me was that it had had a repaint into MTL colours but was still lacking decals and fleet numbers. As far as I can recall this vehicle never operated for MTL but did operate for Stagecoach in Yorkshire before it was purchased by Peoplesbus. Was I seeing things?

Can you help me. Does anyone know or remember the fleet numbers of the Wirral Laird Street based Volvo Ailsa Buses that where purchased new by MPTE before the take over of Merseybus on D Reg.

I think they where 0064-0077 ish again Im not sure how many they had.

Do you know if these were the last new double deckers prior to D Regulation, or was it the B reg Leyland Atty

I've been looking recently for a good route map for route 218 in Berlin, the one operated using the old beige buses, such as SD200s and the like. This is because I would like to attempt to make this route for the OMSI bus simulator. However, I can't find an accurate route map that I could use as reference. Can someone help me please?
