RE: Midland Classic
Since this thread opened, Midland classic have of course expanded, having bought out most of Arriva's Burton operation.

RE: Midland Classic
Rotala seem to have bought up a few operators recently and then proceeded to cancel services. Midland Classic appear to be a decent company and one I have failed to encounter so far.

RE: Midland Classic
It is odd that they plan to call this Diamond Bus East Midlands, as Staffordshire is not in the East Midlands. They may hope to purchase Derby from Arriva, or buy out CentreBus at least within the East Midlands, or even Wellglade.

Such an option could become all the more affordable if they lose the Bolton operation through franchising.

Well Rotala are on a buying spree at moment so they could buy more operations yet even if they keep Bolton

RE: Midland Classic
A bit of trivia. Rotala now own for example Preston ex-Stagecoach, Bolton ex-First, Burton ex-Arriva and Diamond Bus West Midlands which until 2008 was part of Go-Ahead.
