Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
RE: Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
4215 is now at Winsford and on the pit awaiting attention to electrical defects. Don't think 4216 will be seen on the road for a while yet. Another DB250 is on its way from Bolton this afternoon.
868 has gone to Bangor. 2608 is off again with defects and currently on the pit.

868 is at Wrexham depot at the moment, not Bangor!

It's great to see the replacements are more reliable than the current deckers, Not! Wink

What's up with 2608 & where's it been for like past 4 months?! How long copey roughly till we get 4215 on the road & you reckon we'll see it out n about or just 29s etc?

On a plus side, 4143 seems to be performing reliably for a change & seems a bit nippier than usual must be nearing 2 months since its last breakdown some sort of a record for it me thinks lol!

I stand corrected 868 has gone Wrexham not Bangor. 4215 and 4216 are a great disappointment at the moment as the external and internal refurbishment is to a high standard but mechanically and electrically not. If our engineers can bring them up to the required standard then they we intend to put at least one of them on the 84 as the lower deck capacity and design is so much better than the DLA's.

If both are so dire, how have they managed to operate the rail replacement services and, in 4215s case, Bootle's normal services apparently without issue? Were they run in ignorance of these now identified defects?

4143 has improved drastically recently! I have it twice over the past two weeks on the 84 and was really impressed with it's speed!

I spotted 2608 in Middlewich about 2 weeks ago on test with engineers, it sounded awful and left some pretty mean black smoke behind it!

As far as I know, 4215 hasn't been on Bootle's services! I know that it managed a few days on rails, but it developed a fault during that time and didn't manage to last the full ten days.

Apologies, a check of the Bootle thread shows it was 4214 and not 4215 in service there.

4031 has arrived from Bolton. 4061 is expected to be withdrawn very shortly.

Not shocked to learn they're withdrawing 4061 soon its an absolute shed! Breaking down for it is a regular occurrence these days now, hopefully the contractors can get 4215s electricals sorted soon.
