The 55 and 30A did display 'Netherton Village' for the Northern Perimeter Road but that was inaccurate. Netheron Village does exist a few hundred metres further on. The 55 now passes it on its way to the Old Roan. Many, many years ago it was the terminus for the original 53A that went from the Black Bull to Netherton, possibly the shortest bus route in the world. I think it had a running time of 9 minutes!

quite a few more by the same member uploaded onto that site. Not sure but i think Northern Perimeter Road wasn't a through road as it is nowadays, so buses couldn't extend to Old Roan as they do today. Interestingly at D-Reg the 55 briefly became a circle route with a new number 53 replacing part of the old 28, think was around 1988 when the 55 started to terminate at Old Roan.
