Just the info I've had from someone, perhaps the E200MMC's will stay on the shorter routes, with all the longer ones being the Ultroliners (are there any longer routes which can't use deckers at Jackson Street????). 60 Ultroliners is a large increase in deckers over the amount with Arriva (36ish). https://www.flickr.com/photos/dmc1947/ |

RE: Liverpool City Region Bus Franchising
I suspect it'll be the cross Town routes [like 32/32A/33/35 ecc] in St Helens that will have the E200MMCs, with deckers allocated to all the other routes. I'm not sure there is any route at St Helens that can't take deckers, i've seen the odd decker on the 352. |

RE: Liverpool City Region Bus Franchising
To answer my own question the 32A & 39 has to have single decks because of the low bridge [13ft 6in] in Gerard's Lane & St Helens Junction. |

RE: Liverpool City Region Bus Franchising
Based on current service levels taken from bustimes right now the 10, 10A (Arriva and SC), 89, 320 & 352 plus either the 20 or 31 which occasionally see a double deck each comes to just under 60. Obviously some services and frequencies are likely to change so that could alter slightly but with a spare allocation too 60 seems to cover these services. If there are a significant amount spare then they could be used on both the 20 and 31, plus the current Warrington service 22 which has used double decks in the past but not so much these days. In the last 5-10 years double decks have also appeared on the 17 (maybe it was before the Laffak extension), 32, 33, 34 (not sure about 34A but can't think why not off the top of my head). And a bit further back Skem have used double decks on the 38 but i'm not too familiar with the current route and current 37 so not sure if they'd still be suitable. The 9m Enviro200s will probably cover the current HTL and Hattons routes plus the 157. Then the 10.8m Enviro200s the remaining Arriva services. Was jcksmnr |

RE: Liverpool City Region Bus Franchising
If the Sprinters are moving to St Helens then i'm sure that will continue but i was going off the mentioned future fleet. If the Sprinters or new equivalent aren't going to St Helens then That's obviously an issue that needs to be dealt with. I didn't realise that the bigger buses missed part of the route, i know in the past before Stagecoach had the route it used other small buses such as Primos and before that the regular bus for years with HTL i think was based on a Renault Master .
