RE: D&G Bus
It doesn't look like D&G have enough drivers at Crewe to run everything, even with transferring some routes and journeys to other depots. Looks like one of their regular tricks is one driver does 2 early return workings on the 84X, then switches to the 8 - leaving just a single bus and hourly service on the 84X for the rest of the day. If there's any regular passengers waiting at Crewe for the 08:30 84X departure they must be used to seeing the inbound 84X and wondering whether the driver will switch the destination display to the 8. |

What routes have moved? Has the 82 gone back to Wincham I presume Heard talks they were going move 85 to Stoke which would make more sence |

The 49 (PVR 2) recently moved from Crewe to Macclesfield. The 42 changed (PVR 3) was Crewe, now it's 1 at Crewe and 2 at Macc The 38 Sunday service (PVR 2) was Crewe, now it's one vehicle from each of Crewe and Macc. One of the strange things with the depot allocations is Congleton gets services operated from all 3 depots. 38 Crewe/Macc 42 Macc/Crewe 90/91/92/93A/93C Macc 94 Stoke 318 Stoke That means pretty much any vehicle type in the D&G fleet can turn up in Congleton. The Streetlites would be a rare site now, but not impossible. A Versa and a Metrocity is likely, while Evoras, Enviros (long and short) are almost guaranteed, and a Solo is a possibility. |
