In timetable news the 130 is being extended to the airport again, with a 25 minute turnaround there, so that will increase the PVR to 4.

New to DG solos they'll beIdeaIdea

RE: D&G Bus
I'm presuming Macc don't have fitters who can repair destination displays. 122 is running around without a working front one, while I've seen 129 a few times with it's rear display blank.

I rode 3015 on route 42 yesterday.

In Newcastle-under-Lyme I saw Evoras as expected on route 9, but also on routes 1/1a which I didn't know had also received them. Maybe D&G see enough of a future in the Potteries to be willing to stay in the area, speculating on First eventually pulling out?

RE: D&G Bus
To give my itin with D&G, I shall clarify that I caught a Northern train to Crewe (331 107) then trams home from Wythenshawe (3046 then 3066), and caught D&G buses as follows :-

85 Newcastle-under-Lyme - Streetlite 55
94 Congleton - MetroCity 165
42 Crewe - Solo SR 3015
38 Macclesfield - Evora 6015
130 Wythenshawe - Solo SR 165

RE: D&G Bus
A solo on the 42 is rare, but 3015 has tracked on it twice last week.

Yeah D&G have "Orange 1" Evoras now. The Enviro 200s and Solos have moved to other routes. 113 has the new D&G livery and has moved to Macclesfield, despite it's age and D&G normally not rushing to do any repaints. A couple of years ago there were two Orange 1 Solos operating in Cheshire, and it was months before they got repainted.

The other bus I saw on route 42 last Saturday was an ordinary Enviro 200.

In a way I wish I'd been on that bus, so that all my 5 buses were of different types.

The 42 is split between Crewe and Macc - weekdays it's 2 vehicles from Macc and 1 from Crewe, while on Sat it's one from each. I think the normal allocation is a 10.8m Enviro from Crewe, and either MMCs or older Enviros from Macc. I seem to recall someone mentioning the Macc manager was given an instruction to ensure one of the weekday allocations is a vehicle with CCTV, as they don't trust some of the schoolkids using that service.
