Liverpool City Region Bus Franchising
RE: Liverpool City Region Bus Franchising
Gillmoss are getting both types, Go-Ahead don't even have a 5 digit numbering scheme anyway? Also, given how long its taking to get Gillmoss up to EV standard they're leaving it very late if these are for LS.

Oh Superman where are you now, when everything's gone wrong somehow, the men of steel, the men of power, are losing control by the hour.

Go ahead have actually started a 5 number system

20*** for example are East Yorkshire (however I believe only repainted and new buses are currently gaining there new fleet numbers so for example 825 is now 20825)
Believe South Coast is 6**** series
Believe South West is 7**** series
Believe Oxford and Carosel is in the 8**** series
So Merseyside may be 5**** series at a guess

However most only do it on paper currently so Go North West could be 5**** series on paper

Go Ahead do have a 5 digit numbering system, but on paper only for the majority of fleets...only East Yorkshire, Oxford, and part of South West carry the full numbers.....and it's not quite a national system in the style of Stagecoach of First, as the number would be changed if a vehicle transferred to another area....

On the post with the pic of 52427, there's a rear shot of another carrying 52436.......presume the batch will be 52401-52450 given that there are supposed to be 50 on order (which, if as is likely these are for Laird Street, would be just over a 1 for 1 replacement of the 45 hybrid deckers currently in use - 4496-4535, 4851-4854, 4862.

Another thing, Moreton to West Kirby currently has 5 buses an hour, although it's haphazard with 38 every 30 minutes & 407 every 20 minutes, that you get a 38 & 407 following each other, the proposals are going back to 2 buses an hour [438] which again is inadequate, i'd like to see this become every 20 minutes.

I'm sure I remember seeing a list of registration numbers for new buses but, unfortunately I can't remember where. they were listed as 75 plates but 26 plates come into effect 4 weeks today.Knowing that bus companies have reregistered buses when plates change I wonder if this batch will get re registered also.

Don’t forget that they’ll also be operating the former Rock Ferry routes also! If anything that’s actually less double deckers than current operations.

The ones you've seen will be the Gillmoss bound E400EV's, which did all have SK25A** reg's, however all seem to have SK75*** now, although they may now even get 26 plates. Not aware that any of these Electroliners have been registered yet, however from a comment on the thread on FB with the pic of 52427....seems delivery will start either later this month or early March, and I would assume to go into storage, as did a lot of Bee Network buses before they entered service.....
