A Solar? That really is a first! Any idea which workings it's on?

I didn't manage to get out and see the Solar yesterday but luckily, Alan Sansbury has managed to photograph it leaving St Helens on an Ormskirk bound working here. Just wish it was a more common sighting!

Changes from 29 July include additional journeys on 126, plus changes to the 300 and 644 (plus also possibly 557).

Don't know what these actually entail, I'm just going off what was posted on the GM Buses Yahoo group.

Correction... one step Dart - bus 10 was withdrawn about three weeks ago. Bus 11 is due to be withdrawn at the end of the school term. Bus 31 is also withdrawn. Buses 20 and 24 are due to re-enter service over the coming weeks.

A brief summary of the changes from 29 July:
126 - frequency increased to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, with revised afternoon peak to improve reliability. Additional early journey introduced (aimed at Trafford Centre workers). Hourly Sunday and Bank Holiday service introduced.
300 - 'school holiday only' journeys will also operate on schooldays. Will hopefully be converted to double-deck operation.
574 - short journeys to Markland Hill withdrawn.
581 - short journeys to Morris Green withdrawn.
634 - Will serve The Grove and Greenfield Avenue in Ince.

There are other changes which are currently being processed - I'll say more when they've been published. Any services I've not mentioned above (including the 319) are ones I'll tell you about over the next couple of weeks.

Chris.
