158819 was taken out of service at Shrewsbury after hitting a tree after leaving Welshpool, main damage appeared to be to the coupling equipment.

The local Shrewsbury - Crewe stopper service is strengthened today to a 153 + 150

Anyone hear anything about 175 002 when it will be fixed and back out yet?

RE: Arriva Trains Wales - wirralbus - 05/08/2012 19:21

There has been some disruption to Chester - Crewe services today due to flooding affecting the line at Christelton , at one point services had been suspended , but now services are running at reduced speed .

150217 was on bidston - Wrexham line today, had the front carriage locked out.

RE: Arriva Trains Wales - wirralbus - 14/08/2012 18:16

I do wonder whether that set would continue in service all day or get replaced as soon as practical , unit provision is hard for the bidston - wrexham line as not all ATW unit types are passed for the line .

Do you know why only half the train was in use?

RE: Arriva Trains Wales - Metroline1511 - 18/08/2012 21:00

I know of a refurb programme that started on ATW class 158s, I think last year. Does anyone know how many have now been refurbished?

All but 2

Ah thank you Marshall. I have been considering a trip to Wrexham for September, which I am less likely to need to postpone now!
