They only take about 25 people tops which is a tight squeeze if anyone gets on with a shopping trolley or a pram as the door folds inwards where the cab is.

There ex HTL solos arnt they.

Correct

That particular batch of Solos were plagued with problems from new at HTL until they disposed of them, they were part exchanged for our 16 plates ahead of older 11 and 61 plate examples.

Ive heard a number of rumours in the last day or two that Selwyns have won a large number of schools, including the few that Arriva operate and a large number of Als.
Is anyone aware of any truth to this?

RE: Selwyns - Busguy12 - 05/02/2019 19:28

I've heard that myself, to be operated from April and also they have been apparently looking at avons old yard for the buses

RE: Selwyns - motormayhem1 - 06/02/2019 00:59

According to form they have took the schools that arriva birkenhead have recently won after arriva winning the tenders i Beleive.

Evening all, can anyone assist with the fleetnumbers for the following;
LJ04 LDY
LX05 FCF
YJ05 PXD
YJ59 NNC
BG61 SXL
BG61 SXM
BG61 SXP
YJ12 GZG
YJ12 GZH
YJ12 GZK
YJ12 GZL
YF17 LTT
YF17 LTU
SK68 LZO

Also is LR52 KWJ still operated by Selwyns and does / did it have a fleetnumber?

And finally can anyone assist which Plaxton Elite is now SEL 853?

Many Thanks in Advance Smile

BusListsOnTheWeb gives YF17 LTT/U as 262/3, and I have YJ12 GZG-L as 282-5, which info I think was on this thread some while ago, probably from Chris? I also have LJ04 LDY as 244 and YJ05 PXD as 259, although I can't remember the source for those - it may well have been photo captions on Flickr.

By process of elimination, SEL 853 must be YN11 AYC, since its date first registered (from DVLA) is March 2011, the other three 11-reg are still registered with their original marks, and all other similarly-aged B9R Elites are accounted for.

I'm guessing, since you don't mention them, that you do have fleet numbers for LX05 FBN and FBV? If so, what are they? TIA

Many thanks. I am not aware sorry of the 2 B7s you have mentioned as i’ve not actually seen them yet, always seem to bump into FCF.

Has Sharston still got their MMC200s? Only recently the 129 route round Middleton that the vehicles are normally used on has been operated by one of Selwyns MMC400s.
