There are no longer any MPD's at Winsford or Macclesfield. We have 3 Solo's but on my reckoning we are short of at least 2 small buses for optimum vehicle allocation. Drivers are having difficulty in operating the 2 and 4 service in Northwich with VDL's due to poorly parked cars etc.
This has not been helped by the re routing of the number 2 back via Witton St.
On another subject 4026 and 4027 are temporarily reinstated due to vehicle shortages.

Wythenshawe *had* three, but weren't these made surplus when they lost the Stockport MetroShuttle contract? If not, is at the same three (669/70, 700) that WY have now, and which ones have left Winsford?

Winsford has 10 Solo SRs (700-709) mainly used on Macclesfield local routes, plus Solo 679 which arrived after Wythenshawe lost the MetroShuttle contract. The other two redundant WY Solos, 669 and 670, went to Birkenhead.

I assume the reference to three Solos at Winsford includes two of the SRs plus 679, while the remaining SRs are based at the Macclesfield outstation.

Sorry for the confusion. Macclesfield still has all its Solo's. What I should have said is that Winsford's allocation of Solo's is 679,700 and 709 leaving only 3 small buses there.

How come Macclesfields had 700 and Winsford 709 i woulda thought they'd give back the branded silk town links one to complete the set as what they where originally intended for was Macclesfield

Not a clue there fella, macc had 709 for a very short while before it vanished to winsford. We also had 700 when that arrived from wythenshawe, but its currently at winsford.

Also pleased to report yesterday (mon) I had 4216 on a 37a duty & delighted to say it seems to be performing a lot better although 4215 is definitely louder of the pair!!!

They could swap 705 the unbranded one for 709 if they wanna keep it along with 679 and 700 and give us back our branded buses. They look kinds smart in the branding but not unbranded which Winsford dosnt need branded solos for there services which means the Silktown Links solos are on the work there intended for when they purchased them

4026 and 4027 have both been withdrawn again after their minor comeback caused by vehicle shortage.
4030,4098,4143 and 4156 still in service until the arrival of the remaining B7's scheduled for Winsford.
4104 is parked up awaiting engine repairs.
