Nae probs fella, wed we had probs as approx 08:40 2613 had failed in northwich. Didn't move until an hour later when according to a driver it moved on lowloader, as well 2425 failed with a fuel leak.

This morn, the 06:05 #38 off macc was 30 mins late. As 4489 is off road atm for its service, 4143 is on loan but failed at gaw end lane depot.
700 replaced it but didn't leave macc at 06:30

Anyone know why today (mon) the 37a/31 circuit is totally devoid of deckers? Caught the 10:05 off sandbach which is usually guaranteed a decker but this morn nowt.
There's deckers on #29 so assume the rest are doing 84s?
If so is it long term thing as thought the 84 longs were only decker allocated during summer hols???

A driver I spoke to yesterday in northwich reckons that from now on as we've had a few DLAs withdrawn that the 37a/31 circuit will probs be more regularly diagrammed for single deckers in future. Copey this true?
Yesterday (mon) it was a really bad idea as 2614 leaving northwich was filled to capacity plus about another 30 people standing! All well & good during the day but the 16:20 #31 off northwich into crewe deffo needs a decker allocating to it as there's all the students piling on from john deanes college. Plus quite a few get on in northwich centre so its always busy. Copey any reason why yesterday most of the deckers were allocated to 29 duties? I know their busy at peak times with the school kids etc etc so maybe this was the reason for the 31&37a been single deck yesterday.
IIRC our DLA fleet stands as follows - 4026/4027/4030/4031 plus 4098/4143/4156 as well as 4215 which is running solo atm. 4216 however not seen this since the summer hols when all the deckers were on the 84 longs, assume then its ill again, are anymore DLAs due for withdrawal now or is above list it till the B7s get here???

Was speaking to a macc driver today & he's said 4489 whole be off road a while longer yet. Apparently last night (mon) the interior lights packed up & the headlights also need attention, plus few other bits get it through its upcoming MOT.
4030 is at current covering for 4489 so poss another wk till it returns.

4030 still working away on the 38 today Thursday.

Aye still on loan to macc whilst 4489 has some issues addressed to get through its MOT.
Also 709 was today on northwich locals along with macc loan 702 & 679 also out.

Just noticed on the Chester West & Cheshire website that "major changes" are due to take place on the 84 Chester - Crewe service as from 26 October? Does anyone know what those changes might be?

After chatting to a northwich driver today can reveal great news. Apparently the chaos of northwich town centre new road layout will finally neh complete at end of this month!!!
