My understanding is that London buses are governed down to give a top speed of 40mph as most of their lives in The Smoke is mainly stop-start. A reconditioned engine and reconfigured gearbox is a relatively cheap and easy thing to do to give them a much higher top end. I'm sure someone on this site can confirm or correct my view.

Not sure what they do but had a few of Tyrers Buses on the Bolton FC Soccer Buses and always thought a lot of them

Tyrers have bought Tridents 19,21,22,23 and 24 off Bus Vannin, They are being collected from Heysham Port today, These will be replacing Olympians

Mad to think that the younger R reg examples were retained by Maynes then scrapped yet all 4 of the P reg examples are still going strong.
I think the first two P101/2 are with PC Coaches while P104 was with Ogdens I think.

P104 HNC was never with Ogdens. It was with the other Tyrers then Holmeswood as CLZ 8353 and is now with C&G Coaches.

Anyone know what prices these go for? Saw a similar bus on ebay but 18k is overpriced
