Most services to/from Lime St tend to be on a clock-face pattern and there's no reason to expect that to change radically after electrification, so if there are one or two freight paths available, then they should be available most hours outside of the peaks, but only time will tell when the WTT appears....

66751 was still at Tuebrook Sidings this morning but had gone by this afternoon.

It worked a containerised Biomass train to Seaforth and should leave on Monday morning with 4G01. I believe this was its first revenue earning train in this country.

66735 and 66741 arrived at Tuebrook Sidings at 0530 this morning with a 25 wagon 2200 ton train of biomass from Tyne Dock. It departed at 0830 for Drax Power Station. This was a trial presumably assessing the viability of such a working.

GBRF have confirmed that they are to purchase 16 class 92s

RE: GB Railfreight - wirralbus - 01/02/2014 20:14

This purchase of the Class 92 locomotives could also be classed as a good enviromental measure , as the services they will be operated on would almost certaintly have been operated by diesels otherwise .

These Class 92s are those owned by Eurotunnel.
92010/28/32/32/38/43/44 already operate for GBRf.
92006/14/18/20/21/23/33/40 are stored at Coquelles, France and 92045/46 at WABTEC Loughborough.

GBRf are to purchase 21 new Class 66.

RE: GB Railfreight - childwallblues - 13/02/2014 07:53

GBRf are to take over operation of the Dagenham to Garston car train from DB Schencker. They propose to use Class 92s on the service. Shunters are to be based at the terminals with 09009 at Dagenham (ex Trafford Park) and 08527 at Garston (on hire from Barrow Hill).
