RE: D&G Bus - knutstransport - 10/02/2026 19:50 It doesn't look like D&G have enough drivers at Crewe to run everything, even with transferring some routes and journeys to other depots. Looks like one of their regular tricks is one driver does 2 early return workings on the 84X, then switches to the 8 - leaving just a single bus and hourly service on the 84X for the rest of the day. If there's any regular passengers waiting at Crewe for the 08:30 84X departure they must be used to seeing the inbound 84X and wondering whether the driver will switch the destination display to the 8. What routes have moved? Has the 82 gone back to Wincham I presume Heard talks they were going move 85 to Stoke which would make more sence RE: D&G Bus - knutstransport - 11/02/2026 13:59 (11/02/2026 12:59)KX03 KYY Wrote: What routes have moved? Wincham outstation closed a couple of years ago, once they'd completed the upgrade work on the former Arriva outstation in Macclesfield. The 49 (PVR 2) recently moved from Crewe to Macclesfield. The 42 changed (PVR 3) was Crewe, now it's 1 at Crewe and 2 at Macc The 38 Sunday service (PVR 2) was Crewe, now it's one vehicle from each of Crewe and Macc. One of the strange things with the depot allocations is Congleton gets services operated from all 3 depots. 38 Crewe/Macc 42 Macc/Crewe 90/91/92/93A/93C Macc 94 Stoke 318 Stoke That means pretty much any vehicle type in the D&G fleet can turn up in Congleton. The Streetlites would be a rare site now, but not impossible. A Versa and a Metrocity is likely, while Evoras, Enviros (long and short) are almost guaranteed, and a Solo is a possibility. RE: D&G Bus - KX03 KYY - 11/02/2026 19:06 Did the 85 move from Crewe to Stoke or do Stoke cover some journey's? Edit that looks like Stoke operate 1 board on the 85 judging by bustimes data from past week or so RE: D&G Bus - M60lad - 12/02/2026 06:30 As far as I know (Could be wrong) most buses on 85 are operated by Crewe with one bus provided daily from Adderley Green Depot hence why when they first got them the ex Blackpool Citaroes were seen regularly on 85s. RE: D&G Bus - knutstransport - 14/02/2026 16:20 There appears to be a few unusual allocations today (based on bus times tracking, which may not be 100% correct). One of the plain white ex-Hollinshead Enviros is tracking on the 130. There's a MMC on the 38, while there's an Evora on the 85. While one of the 84X branded Enviros appears to have spent the day on the 8, while a Solo SR has been on the 84X, which may have been swapped for a MMC - or maybe just the tracking updated to the correct vehicle (which happens sometimes). RE: D&G Bus - knutstransport - 16/02/2026 12:48 5002 is tracking as 5014. I did wonder if that might be the case. RE: D&G Bus - 33109 - 18/02/2026 15:57 There's always instances of buses mis tracking. Ticketers get swapped around regularly but not always reallocated to the bus their in. Ticketers get swapped around regularly but not always reallocated to the bus their in. I know. There also seems to be some instances of vehicles changing IDs on bus times after one driver ends his shift and the next driver logs in. There's some people who like to track down unusual sightings or specific vehicles so I feel it's worth posting incorrect tracking if I spot it. For instance, 5014 was seen as tracking on the 38 on Sunday - if that had been 5014 it may have been it's first ever visit to Crewe. Fleet news - an ex-Edwards Coaches MMC has been given fleet number 5022. Someone's uploaded a picture on Flickr which shows it in Northwich in a plain blue livery - https://www.flickr.com/photos/198115627@N06/55106171480/in/photolist-2rXxwUQ-2rXs8oS-2rXrz21-2rKqK2q-2rnmYk3-2r9HX4i-2rhoeSp-2raFW4a-2r9BVjR-2r9RBRo-2qZpPuF-2qSzuou-2qEVwLP-2q2akgB-2qd222A-2ppHwv6-2oYsNSC-2oJCU5z-2oVJCEx-2osrN6x-2osju44-2opUCE6-2o7VyVG-2nRSXe8-2ng5cnU |
