New freight service starting 03/04 SSuX 1410 Seaforth CT to Mossend Eurotunnel and 04/04 0306 TWThO Mossend Eurotunnel to Seaforth CT. The train runs each way via St Helens Junction.

Anyone got any further information on this like what class train is likley to operate it? I often go to Rainhill for the Friday Seaforth - Tinsley S.S move so i will be going for this regular as well

I would imagine a Class 66 to start with. If as hoped the service starts to get heavier loadings it could justify pairs of 90s from Edge Hill as the line is electrified all the way.

Talking to forum member Ant17612 he said Seaforth is not electrified so wont be any 90s up there

It would have to be diesel powered between edgehill and seaforth as its just normal lines with no electrification.

You are quite right that Edge Hill to Seaforth is not electrified. I should have made myself clearer - Edge Hill to Mossend is electrified.

Your question of where did I get the information from? Well it on TRUST which is a railway operational system which neither you or I have access to but my friend has a contact who has.
Further information received indicates that there are services from both Mossend and Daventry, which is excellent news.

Ahh, that explains why i cant find anything as other than the paths on RTT i cant find a thing on it

Been told off a couple of people now that these Paths are never going to run
