2Z01 1035 Helsby - Hooton
2Z02 1137 Hooton - Helsby
2Z03 1210 Helsby - Hooton
2Z04 1307 Hooton - Helsby

Fills the gaps .

I would imagine that they must have a Merseyrail driver/manager route conducting from Ellesmere Port to Hooton, or they have staff who have left Merseyrail within the last year who still have that route on their cards.

There is a special ticket in the system now, with a destination of Helsby Runcorn 150 or suchlike.

I think to cover both Guard and Driver will be conducted between Ellesmere Port and Hooton , but for ease of operation they will stay with the train throughout its sojurn on the Helsby branch.

It will be nice to see a diesel once again at Hooton .

It also allows for an extra train around the Halton Curve as well , anything to keep that line in the public eye is always useful.

150134 is on the 0753 Chester-Runcorn today.

Nothern Rail are not having a good day at all today.

Due to overhead line problems in the Eccles area there are delays of upto 30 mins . Is this line live yet !!.

Also due to signalling difficulties at Manchester Airport there is delays of upto 20 minutes.

This makes you wonder if the Liverpool - Manchester Airport service will operate or be diverted to ensure a reliable end to end service.

Not sure on the nature of the works, but 3/4 of platform 5 are currently blocked off at Lime Street

You are referring to Lime Street! Works are possibly in connection with the planned platform alterations, Not sure of the details but I understand that part of the plan is to straighten Platform 6.

A signalling problem is causing disruption near Sankey for Penketh.

Because of this, there are delays of up to 20 minutes between Liverpool Lime Street and Warrington Central.

From Saturday 9 November 2013 and Friday 28 March 2014, Network Rail will be carrying out major engineering work at the Holme Tunnel to strengthen and repair the tunnel, meaning that trains will not be able to run between Hebden Bridge and Burnley Manchester Road.
