It has been announced that Cammell Laird have been awarded the contract to build a further two ferries for Western Ferries for their Gourock to Dunoon route. These will be delivered in Autumn 2026.

New Mersey ferry Royal Daffodil was launched into the river last Thursday and then towed by tugs into the Wet Basin.
