4164 and 4165 still going strong out of Wythenshawe and are both on the 18 today

Why? 4164 and 4165 are (or strictly speaking, were) DLPs, so this thread seems appropriate.

For the Wythenshawe thread I guess but I agree it's entirely appropriate but repetitive reading DLP/VLW's are still going

A number of the DLPs became SORN after their road tax ran out on 31/12/17. These were 4165, 4170, 4172, 4175, 4176, 4177, 4178, 4179 and 4180.

4166, 4169, 4173 and 4174 were all re-taxed [to 31/12/2018].

This just leaves twelve of the batch that are still taxed – 4161, 4162, 4163, 4164, 4166, 4169, 4173, 4174, 4181, 4182, 4183, 4184. The remaining thirteen are all SORN.

Of the VLW front there was no end of year changes, which leaves the following twelve taxed: 4200, 4202, 4204, 4208, 4209, 4210, 4211, 4212, 4213, 4214, 4215 and 4216. However, the tax on nine vehicles [4208-4216] runs out on 31/1/18 (+DLPs 4162 and 4181), so it is possible that some of these will also become SORN then.

Of course being taxed does not mean a vehicle is capable of being put out on the road, but if it is SORN then it definitely won’t be.

4164 has been VOR at Bolton for a while now after picking up a fault so this might also be finished

4180/LJ51 ORG currently parked up in Rhyl depot.

The scrapman could come calling if they are SORN???

From the list of SORNs above i think 4175 has already been scrapped

Not quite - 4168 and 4175 were both scrapped last year

One VLW (4207) was declared SORN last month

What DLPs are still taxed I’m guessing a few are still in service
