More hired in buses, contract changes and new deliveries!

Since the last blog update there have been yet more contract changes resulting in further buses being hired in with some operators, due to the unexpected decision by Supertravel/Homes Hames Travel to end all of its stage services with immediate effect from 13/10/2011. Peoplesbus start operating routes 173 & 174

Peoplesbus began operating routes 173 (Belle Vale – Sefton Park) & 174 (Belle Vale – Penny Lane/Allerton Library) today after a one week gap, replacing Supertravel who stopped running it last Sunday. Supertravel Contract Changes

From Monday 11th July 2011 large number of routes previously operated by Supertravel changed to different operators with very short notice. Those that remain with Supertravel are all transferred to the Home James Travel licence, following various changes at the company. Supertravel Streetlites arrive!

After much anticipation, Supertravel’s Wright Streetlites have finally hit the roads of Merseyside! MX11 CZP, MX11 CZR & MX11 EGE are all reported in use on various Supertravel routes in Liverpool and on the Wirral.
