More hired in buses, contract changes and new deliveries!

MAN EcoCity Gas Bus at Stagecoach Merseyside

Stagecoach Merseyside currently have a CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) powered MAN EcoCity demonstrator on loan, which has seen use on route 10A (Liverpool City Centre – St Helens). Doomed buses!

Quite a few buses in the Arriva North West & Wales fleet are likely to be withdrawn very soon or at reallocated to other work/depots than they are at present. Arriva Skelmersdale closes and yet more rental buses!

Over the weekend the Arriva depot in Skelmersdale finally closed with all services and buses reallocated to other Arriva depots, including those at Southport, Bootle and St Helens. Supertravel Contract Changes

From Monday 11th July 2011 large number of routes previously operated by Supertravel changed to different operators with very short notice. Those that remain with Supertravel are all transferred to the Home James Travel licence, following various changes at the company.
