I would think they would start their duties at Moorfields and take bus back and then the other bus does a late turn and returns after. I have buses in London travel 40miles to do a 6hr standby so even if it starts at Speke that is not big mileage. When I did controlling at Liverpool park way a few years ago. Bottle sent 2 buses for Standby every AM peak then they moved to Central for PM Peak.

Noted today on the Moorfields/Hunts Cross RR were 4117, 4658, 4677, 4680, 4699 & 4819 plus I'm told 4411 & 4431 were also out (didn't see those however)

I couldn't log in yesterday but yeah I think I was on 4431, also managed 4699 too.

I've noticed LS and maybe SH, GL vehicles were on this Tuesday/yesterday too.

This morning's Moorfields to Hunts Cross rail replacement saw 4113, 4117 and 4699. A track circuit failure at Liverpool Central brought out some nice 'heritage' traction!
