Bus Changes From 22nd Of April 2018 Service: 90, 91, 92 Old Route: Birkenhead - Prenton - Claughton circular New Route: Birkenhead - Prenton - Claughton circular Service 90 Changes: Service Withdrawn Service 91 Changes: Monday to Saturday routes 91 and 92 are combined and altered to create a new route 91 which additionally serves the Holmlands Estate as the 90 is Withdrawn, but Services no longer operate via Borough Road/Singleton Avenue or Conway Street/Park Road North/Upton Road. Bus Changes From 2nd Of July 2018 Services: 135, 136, 235 Old Route: Bootle - Aintree New Route: Bootle Or Warterloo - Orrell Or Aintree Or Liverpool Service 135 Changes: No Changes Service 136 Changes: New Route Operated Between Bootle - Liverpool ONE (Including an early morning service between Waterloo & Liverpool ONE). Monday to Friday only. Service 235 Changes: New Hourly Service Circular Service Between Bootle And Orrell Operated By Stagecoach, Monday to Saturdays Only. I didn't think Stagecoach would make a commercial decision to send a bus out so early on a Sunday unless it has half hour to get between Kirkby Admin and Northwood to start the first 21. I don't know but seems very unusual. I would guess it is a typo. If not... I am shocked. |

217/227/217A (Kirkby/Huyton - Halewood) from 22nd July 2018 https://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/getting-...02018).pdf Stagecoach Routes 217/227: Some journeys, mainly early evening journeys, are retimed. Monday to Saturday some new early morning 217 journeys introduced between Huyton and Kirkby and an additional Monday to Friday 217 journey from Bootle through to Huyton departing at 0613 (replacing the 892). Merseytravel Route 217: Evening and Sunday 217 journeys via Longview Drive are renumbered 217A Various changes there, this brings an end to the Saturday morning Arriva 217s to Kirkby too, Arriva will only operate a few Halewood to Huyton trips now Mon-Sat. buses7675 http://dartslf.com/ Light up, light up as if you have a choice,

One possible explanation could be that Stagecoach hope that weekend revellers may use it as a much cheaper alternative than a taxi home as dawn breaks. My understanding is that, following the withdrawal of night buses several years ago, many weekend revellers now wait around in MacDonald's and the like for the first buses/trains out to the suburbs as taxis are as rare as hen's teeth after about 4am. |
