GM Buses
A mate of mine kept talking a lot about this company since he did win 2 bus models off Ebay but was wondering what the fleet was like depot wise and routes or history of certain things or years. The back of the bus gives a little history on the bus which is a little interesting but would love to hear more about em

RE: GM Buses
GM Buses was what was previous GMPTE and was a hands off operation from October 1986. In the mid 90's the government of the day ordered that company should be split between North and South (even though West Midlands which was of a comparable size was allowed to be sold as one). Both North and South started life as employee buyouts but eventually First bought out North and after some aggressive competition on the 192 South was bought by Stagecoach. I'm sure people in the area (and with better memories than mine!) maybe able to correct/add more facts to the story but that is generally what happened in a nutshell.

RE: GM Buses
Interesting read there. Iv seen the GM buses airport livery that looked quite smart but I think it was a GM South decker

RE: GM Buses
It would have been as a few Olympians were beanded for the Airport Shuttle. This link was impirtant at the time as the rail station at the airport didn't exist at the time (only opening in 1993).
