I like this, but wouldn't 3 deckers be better than bendies?

3 deckers may appear to have more appeal to passengers but when factoring in purchase costs the Merc Artics work out extremely good value for money as prices have fallen to less than 10k per vehicle. Parts and maintenance costs could well be the down side as First have discovered but here's hoping this new and imaginative service works out well and passenger loads make the service sustainable.

Is there an appropriate bus stop at The Trafford Centre for bendy-buses?

I forget about that as the bus stops in the bus station are all reverse off the stop , not something you want to be doing too often with a bendi as the rear goes in a differing direction to the front in reverse with the fear of jack-knifing.

I understand that Classic Bus have been doing many dummy runs up and down from Blackpool to Manchester with one of the Citaro G's for a few months, I'm sure they've taken this into consideration with their extensive late night driver training.

The Red Rocket started today using the Artics.

Not a good start in terms of clarity of destination! Also what's with the "Not In Service" in the side desty - shocking!

Apparently according to a friend photos P269PSX was also showing the correct route (X70) and destinations on it as well unlike the Citaroes, just hope that the deckers are used regularly as they peform quite well on the Motorway sections
